Surgical Scheduler

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department:  KH PLASTICS & RECONSTRUCTIVE 
Shift timings: 08:00-16:30 Hours Monday to friday (5 Days/8 Hours)
Per Week: 40 Hours
Roles & Responsibilities : 
Maintains surgical schedule for the practice. Obtains authorizations when needed. Coordinates with hospitals to schedule and arrange all patient pre-op testing, medical clearances, etc. Triages patient phone calls appropriately for office visits, tests, surgeries and other encounters. Prepares patients' charts and files related to patient records. Contact and confirm patients dates and times of procedures with patients. Maintains physician's weekly schedule. Coordinates academic meetings including travel arrangements. Ability to deal with and maintain confidential information. Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to calculate and collect cash transactions.
