**PROJECT DETAILS**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

- Under general supervision of Management of the Bureau of Technology, responsible for all back-end Windows Server technologies, including most Microsoft server suites; backup/restore; disaster recovery; strategic planning; scripting; and virtual machines.
- Provides end-to-end responsibility for all enterprise Windows Server services, Active Directory structures, trusts and accounts.
- Assists with leading and facilitating groups across all levels of the organization to deliver valued outcomes to drive business decisions.
- Manages Exchange email systems; backups and recoveries; and recommends changes that positively impact database and server performance.
- Creates disaster recovery planning and design. Evaluates/recommends new technologies for implementation while providing extensive troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Performs other assignments/duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED DEGREE**

- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an  Associate’s Degree SUPPLEMENTED WITH four (4) years’ work experience in a Windows 2008 Server engineer role including any current Microsoft Server certification

OR

- Six (6) years’ work experience in a Window Server engineer role.

Experience with Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Group Policy, Global Catalog, DNS, DHCP, IIS, File/Print Servers, and Clusters.  (Experience with ADFS/FIM preferred.)

Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL and other network protocols.

Experience with enterprise backup solutions, replication and redundancy. Experience with installation and configuration of server equipment (HP, Dell, or other similar equipment) .
