JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Description: The Security Engineer is responsible for implementing security measures in complex technology environments, bridging legacy development and operations, and ensuring secure system development while enhancing user privacy. Key tasks include conducting security audits, risk analyses, vulnerability testing, and code reviews; developing solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities; and researching new attack vectors.
 
  
 
Required Skills:
 
 
Knowledge and experience in protecting sensitive data from cyber threats.
 
Experience with managing and configuring on-premises IronPort and Cisco Email Security; familiarity with DNS, MX, A, TXT, PTR records, and SMTP;
 
Understanding email security standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and blacklisting; advanced phishing investigation;
 
Expertise in email security threats; leadership in incident response; compliance knowledge (e.g., HIPAA); advanced troubleshooting; and collaboration with technology vendors.
 
 
  
 
Experience Required: Minimum of 10 years in developing and implementing security solutions.
 
  
 
Experience Preferred: At least 3 years in cybersecurity tools (IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP), understanding of penetration detection (Blue Team), and experience with platforms like IronPort and Microsoft O365; cloud-based email integration; email security system performance optimization; and email system migration.
 
  
 
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering, with additional experience substituting for education on a year-for-year basis.
