Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join our dynamic cable and digital advertising team.
  • As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our sales efforts by providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to our sales team.
  • The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills to facilitate seamless collaboration between the sales team and other internal departments.

Responsibilities:

Client Interaction:

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, assisting with inquiries and providing timely and accurate information.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to gather client requirements, advertising assets and ensure effective communication between clients and internal stakeholders.

Order Processing:

  • Facilitate the accurate and timely processing of advertising orders and creative.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure the fulfillment of client requirements and delivery of advertising materials.

Campaign Management:

  • Assist in the management and execution of advertising campaigns, including monitoring campaign performance, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the sales and creative teams to ensure that campaigns align with client objectives, ensuring accurate placement of ads and a high level of clearance of the advertising schedule.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of client communications, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Generate regular reports on campaign performance metrics and provide regular feedback to increase ad placement, increasing departmental efficiency and reducing re-work.

Market Research:

  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to the sales team.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other internal departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Proven experience in sales support or a similar role, preferably within the cable advertising industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to reason, troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Knowledge of cable advertising trends and industry dynamics is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred in related field
  • 2 or more years experience as a media buyer or planner, performing advertising agency work, working in a client side marketing or public relations role, or some combination of these
