Job Summary
 We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to surgical patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the perioperative process. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to handle diverse surgical cases, and a commitment to patient education and support.
 
Duties
 
 
Prepare and assist in surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
 
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
 
Monitor and assess the condition of patients before, during, and after surgery.
 
Administer medications and manage anesthesia as directed.
 
Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, recovery, and follow-up care.
 
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
 
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
 
Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
 
 
Experience
 
 
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Surgical or Operating Room setting.
 
Experience with various surgical specialties preferred.
 
 
Requirements
 
 
2 years CURRENT hospital experience - REQUIRED  
 
OR circulate experience with ortho (including total hip, total knee), general surgery, gyn, podiatry, urology, ENT, ENDO  - Required -  PLEASE UPLOAD DETAILED SKILLS CHECKLIST!  
 
Arterial line, Central Line, IV start skills - Required
 
Vent & BiPAP experience - Required
 
Current PALS Certification - Required
 
BSN - Preferred
 
Previous travel experience - Preferred
 
 
Travel Housing Rate
