Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the insurance industry to hire an experienced full-time  Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in personal lines homeowners' insurance and managing complex software development projects. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of insurance-related applications, from concept through post-launch support.
 
What YOU will do:
 
 
Oversee all aspects of software development and production support deployments, including project selection, discovery, requirements, scope, planning, scheduling, communications, and post-release activities.
 
Collaborate with internal and external teams such as Business Analysts, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Underwriting, and more to ensure insurance programs meet time, budget, and quality objectives.
 
Maintain and utilize project management tools (SmartSheets, Jira, Confluence, etc.) throughout the project lifecycle.
 
Conduct project meetings, track progress, resolve blockers, and ensure that business objectives and success metrics are met.
 
Analyze development, testing, and release processes for continuous improvement.
 
Report project status to department management and business leaders, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
 
Manage relationships with internal IT teams, external vendors, and business divisions to ensure project success.
 
 
What YOU will bring us:
 
 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
 
5+ years of Project Management experience within the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
 
Prior experience with personal lines homeowners' insurance, particularly with Policy Administration, Rating, and Underwriting systems.
 
Strong skills in project management software (e.g., Jira) and familiarity with Agile, Hybrid, and Predictive methodologies.
 
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
 
Preferred: PMP Certification and Lean/Six Sigma certifications.
