QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS (required)
- 8 YEARS IN AEROSPACE/DEFENSE INDUSTRY
- PROGRAM MANAGEMENT EXP IN SUPPLY CHAIN
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 12 years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with 10 years of experience, or 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proven expertise in supply chain program management within the aerospace/defense industry.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with contract types such as Fixed Price and Time & Materials is preferred.
- Ability to engage with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Secret clearance preferred, but not required
- Experience in the following contract types: FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, Cost Reimbursement (w/fixed-fee, incentive fee or award fee)
- Experience as Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts managing budgets and sales forecasting
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to periodically travel to supplier facilities (mainly domestic locations)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain program management for Space and Airborne Systems in collaboration with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations.
- Utilize hands-on, cross-functional strategies to identify process pain points and implement improvements.
- Track program deliverables, assess key risks, and develop mitigation plans, providing regular status updates.
- Manage critical project milestones, ensuring suppliers can meet demands and optimizing material flow for inventory management.
- Provide technical support for design reviews and assess impacts on materials and supply chain.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency in product development and supply chain operations.
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships to meet program requirements and performance standards.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, suppliers, and program managers to support program objectives.
- Develop and monitor customized supply chain management metrics tailored to space programs.
- Communicate the company's technical and programmatic value proposition effectively.
- Uphold high ethical standards and adhere to the company's Code of Conduct.
- Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization.
