A renowned medical organization is looking to immediately hire a Full-time board-certified Family Practice/Internal Medicine Doctor to work as a Primary Care Medical Director in two offices in Flanders and Dover, New Jersey. A minimum of five years of experience and a New Jersey state license are required. The organization offers a salary of $220,000 to $280,000 per year, plus a hefty benefits package.

Responsibilities:

Medical Leadership and Oversight:

  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and mentorship to all healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Medical Protocols: Develop, implement, and update clinical policies, protocols, and standards in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor patient care quality and ensure adherence to evidence-based medical practices and standards.
  • Patient Care: Manage a small patient panel, ensuring direct patient care as needed while serving as a role model for the healthcare team.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clinic leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve care delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Staff Management: Lead recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations of healthcare staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing training programs for clinical staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve clinical and operational issues as they arise, ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Accreditation and Licensing: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and maintain clinic licensure and accreditation requirements.
  • Risk Management: Oversee risk management initiatives, including infection control and patient safety protocols.
  • Documentation Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Collaborative Efforts:

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster collaboration between physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaison between clinic leadership, healthcare teams, and external partners, including insurance companies and regulatory bodies.

Financial and Budgetary Management:

  • Cost Management: Work with the administrative team to manage clinic budgets, optimize operational costs, and ensure the clinic's financial sustainability.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure proper allocation of medical supplies and resources to support patient care services.

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD/DO): Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification: Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine.
  • State Medical License: Active and unrestricted medical license in the clinic's state (New Jersey).
  • DEA Certification: Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification for prescribing medications.
  • ACLS/BLS Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are preferred.

Experience:

  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine).
  • Leadership Experience: At least three years of experience in a leadership role, such as medical director, clinical supervisor, or department head, preferably in an outpatient or primary care clinic.
  • Operational Experience: Experience in managing clinic operations, including staff management, budget oversight, and policy development.
  • Quality Improvement: Proven track record of leading quality improvement initiatives and implementing clinical best practices.

  • Mon, Wed, and Fri: 9 AM to 5 PM,
  • Tue & Thu: 11 AM to 7 PM,
  • Every other Saturday, 11 AM - 2 PM
  • No on-call

Employment Package:

  • $220,000 to $280,000 per year salary
  • four weeks PTO (personal, sick days, national holidays, CEM), prorated for the first year
