Molding technician (Injection Molding) - PS31125-22- Muncie, IN
Pay: $18 - 28/hr + benefits & paid holidays
Industry: Plastic injection molding
Location: Near Muncie, IN
Schedule: Full-time / 2nd shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Injection Molding Technicians to assist a company located near the Muncie, IN region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background operating plastic injection molding machines, ensuring efficient production processes, and high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time, to optimize production efficiency.
  • Conduct mold changes, setup, and tooling adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on molding machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, part quality, and production processes.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and optimize mold designs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, machine settings, and quality checks.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plastic injection molding is a plus.
  • Atleast 2 years of proven experience as a Plastic Injection Molding Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic materials, molds, and injection molding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to injection molding machines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy molds and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
