SciTec is seeking OPIR Mission Operations Support Engineers for duties assigned at Buckley Space Force Base and in Boulder, CO. 

Responsibilities 

  • Execute contract efforts to support operationally fielded software for OPIR Battlespace Awareness Center (OBAC) operators
    • Problem report generation and triage
    • Application and Capability integration
    • Recurring Training for new features/capabilities
    • Post event analysis
    • Operator DR review boards – act as eyes-ears of development teams
  • Support may also include the following:
    • Installation and configuration of workstations and servers in accordance with a defined baseline
    • Patch / package management, third-party software installation and maintenance
    • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing user support
    • Networking configuration in a mixed Linux and Windows environment
  • Interface to relevant corporate teams in IT, facilities, and security to ensure program operations support needs are fulfilled
  • Experience in the following is beneficial:
    • OpenShift administration
    • VMWare administration
    • Adminstering secure environments (STIGs, IPA, audits)
    • AWS administration
    • K8s expertise
    • DevSecOps tool-set administration
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) ground processing domain knowledge 
  • Government or industry experience operating Department of Defense (DoD) Space Programs 
  • Active DoD Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Strong team-building, time-management, and conflict-resolution abilities 
  • Excellent written communication, briefing, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to interact, brief and develop positive relationships with both customer and company leadership 
  • Detail oriented

Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, computer science, space operations or a related field
  • Experience with Agile principles (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban, etc)

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $146,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
