Maintenance Generalist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Maintenance Generalist (All Shifts) - Full-Time - St. Joseph Plant
 Location: Saint Joseph, MO (Onsite)
 Type: Permanent
 Salary: As per Exp., with the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 in retention bonuses
 
  
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
 
Perform routine preventive maintenance, such as lubrication, part adjustments, and scheduled servicing.
 
Inspect equipment to identify excessive wear, defects, or damage, and carry out necessary repairs to maintain optimal functionality.
 
Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, materials, and parts used.
 
Follow safety guidelines and GMP standards consistently in all tasks.
 
Read and follow technical manuals and blueprints for operating and setting up new machinery.
 
Monitor and report inventory needs to management.
 
Attend off-site and on-site training sessions as needed.
 
 
Required Skills and Physical Demands:
 
 
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stretch throughout shifts, and lift up to 70 pounds.
 
Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (from -10  F to 105  F) with potential slippery surfaces.
 
Proficiency in basic computer skills to complete training and tasks.
 
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
 
 
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
 
 
Maintenance experience in one of the following: 
 
One year of experience in industrial manufacturing, OR
 
Two years in aircraft, agriculture, or military maintenance, OR
 
Three years in automotive maintenance.
 
 
 
 
Nice-to-Have Skills:
 
 
Knowledge of ammonia systems is a plus (with potential for higher pay if ammonia-certified)..
 
 
Additional Information:
 
 
Compensation: As per Exp..
 
Retention Bonus: $2,500 at 90 days and an additional $2,500 at one year.
 
Shift Schedule: Fixed shifts with overtime and weekend work as required.
