Position: CT Technlogist

Start Date: 2/3/2025

Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Vandalia, IL, 62471

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights,7:30 PM - 6:00 AM, 10

Shift Notes: M-Th 7:30 pm - 6:00 am (10 Hour Nights - 40 Hour Guarantee) EOW, Friday & Saturday (7:30pm - 7:30am - 12 Hour Nights)

Weekend Requirements: EOW, Friday & Saturday (7:30pm - 7:30am - 12 Hour Nights)

On-Call Requirements: No Call

Traveler Policy: Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction). Applicants who were direct employees within the last 2 years are not eligible

  • Nonbillable Hours: 16 hours
  • OT/Holiday Markups: 1.25x Regular Rate
  • Call Back Markup: 1.3x Regular Rate

Accurate image identification including documentation in patient records (Charts) of proper consents, orders, and screening forms., Determines the portion of the body to be imaged and properly positions the most suitable body position for the images., Follow proper policy and protocol for procedures as outlined in protocol guides, and hospital policy., Keeps work area neat and clean., Maintains equipment by routine cleaning and operations checks., Performs exams by setting, adjusting, manipulating, and controlling department-specific equipment and positions patients and various body parts for radiologic exams. Uses proper collimation and patient shielding., Processes images to PACS system, Produces technically excellent images., Utilizes ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff members and patients., Utilizes Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges, and process studies. , Utilizes proper safety techniques to scan patients and provide excellent quality imaging.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ Years of Experience - Required
  • Strong CT experience, does not need to be certified
  • Previous Travel Experience - Highly Preferred
  • ARRT - Required, does not need to be CT-certified
  • Experience with all patient populations - Required
  • Trauma Exp - Required
