JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Electrical Designer (Industrial Automation Systems)Job Summary:This hands-on position focuses on the electrical design of control systems for automated industrial environments. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team and clients to deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs.Job Duties:Create electrical control schematics and panel layouts in AutoCAD.Collaborate with internal and customer engineers on BOMs and project documentation.Structure job data and track progress in an ERP system.Ensure designs align with NEC, UL508A, and SCCR standards.Support fabrication and installation by answering design-related inquiries.Finalize drawing sets based on internal feedback.Drive projects to completion—on time and on budget.Qualifications:Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent technical certification.3+ years of experience designing 480VAC/3P industrial systems with:IO systems, VFDs, motor starters, servo drivesPanel layouts with adherence to spacing and safety standardsConduit and cable tray planningProficiency in AutoCAD and MS ExcelFamiliarity with Allen-Bradley products (IO, VFDs, etc.)Strong knowledge of UL508A, NEC, and industrial power systemsQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
