Construction Safety Lead

Are you passionate about safety? Have experience overseeing the safety program in the construction industry?
Our client, a growing construction firm headquartered just north of Los Angeles, is actively hiring for a Construction Safety Lead. Top candidates will have prior experience helping to lead a safety-first culture at a general contractor or construction firm, with deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety compliance and risk management.
This position will work 2 days per week at company HQ and travel to Southern California job sites 3 days per week.
Base salary: $80,000 per year
Essential Job Duties
 
Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.
 
Maintain, and update as necessary, Site Safety Plans and Site Safety Training.
 
Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards
 
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
 
Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to support regulatory standards being followed.
 
Provide safety training to employees on various topics including OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures
 
Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents
 
Requirements
 
Proven experience working in safety compliance, risk management, or related field
 
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
 
Experience with Procore, or other construction management software
 
Certification in EHS or related field is a plus
 
Understanding of construction management principles
 
Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels
