Position Title: Civil Engineer
Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years
Compensation: $130,000 (Quarterly Bonus Program)

  • 0 - 4 years: $70K - $100K
  • 5+ years: $100K - $130K

Position Overview:

An Indianapolis-based engineering firm with over 25 years of dedicated service in the transportation, site development, inspection, surveying, and right-of-way sectors is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with a background in transportation and site development design. In this position, the Civil Engineer will be instrumental in shaping complex civil projects and supporting community initiatives across Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design roadway, grading, drainage, utility, and site development projects.
  • Develop and manage construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, government agencies, and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Calculate and estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and other associated expenses.
  • Monitor and confirm project adherence to construction specifications, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, verify placements, and ensure calculations align with project goals.
  • Efficiently manage time to complete tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.S. Civil Engineering).
  • Proven experience in civil design with a focus on transportation and site development.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and similar engineering software.
  • EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle both project management and design aspects, as the role is balanced at 50% design and 50% project management.
  • Experience Level: Mid-senior
