Position Title: Civil Engineer
 Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years
 Compensation: $130,000 (Quarterly Bonus Program)
 
 
0 - 4 years: $70K - $100K 
 
5+ years: $100K - $130K
 
 
 
 
Position Overview:
 
An Indianapolis-based engineering firm with over 25 years of dedicated service in the transportation, site development, inspection, surveying, and right-of-way sectors is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with a background in transportation and site development design. In this position, the Civil Engineer will be instrumental in shaping complex civil projects and supporting community initiatives across Indiana.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
 
Design roadway, grading, drainage, utility, and site development projects.
 
Develop and manage construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
 
Communicate effectively with project teams, government agencies, and clients to ensure project alignment.
 
Calculate and estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and other associated expenses.
 
Monitor and confirm project adherence to construction specifications, standards, and safety protocols.
 
Conduct on-site inspections, verify placements, and ensure calculations align with project goals.
 
Efficiently manage time to complete tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget constraints.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
 
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.S. Civil Engineering).
 
Proven experience in civil design with a focus on transportation and site development.
 
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and similar engineering software.
 
EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.
 
Demonstrated ability to handle both project management and design aspects, as the role is balanced at 50% design and 50% project management.
 
Experience Level: Mid-senior
