**PROJECT DETAILS**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

- Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and activities of the Electricians assigned to the Telecommunications Installation and Repair Division.
- Has primary responsibility for telecommunications services including the management, installation, maintenance and quality of switching and associated voice and data circuits, devices and equipment.
- Responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, engineering, operation and maintenance of telecommunications-related software and hardware.
- Consults with technical and administrative personnel to resolve telecommunications problems of new or existing systems.
- Coordinates with vendors and contractors the planning, design and implementation of communication networks and systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED DEGREE**

Successful completion of an approved and recognized four (4) year telecommunications technician apprenticeship program pursuant to attaining Journeyman status in installation and maintenance.
