  • Within WWS, the Sustainability Science and Innovation (SSI) team combines cutting-edge data science, analytics, and machine learning with deep domain expertise in sustainability.
  • Our multi-disciplinary team works on complex challenges that require both technical excellence and innovative thinking to support client's ambitious sustainability goals.
  • We are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist who can help drive these initiatives forward through sophisticated data analysis, statistical modeling, and practical problem-solving.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a proven track record in:
  • Advanced Python development, including extensive experience with object-oriented programming and the Pandas ecosystem
  • Production-level code development, including code refactoring and Git version control
  • Complex data analysis and statistical modeling, particularly with messy, real-world datasets
  • Strong foundation in statistical methods and experimental design
  • SQL database querying and data manipulation at scale
  • Time series forecasting experience is highly valued
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of post-Ph.D. industry experience
  • Software: Python, Pandas, SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical problems into practical solutions
  • Track record of delivering high-impact data science projects

  • Contractor will need to be able to meet in-person with team manager and project leads. Contractor will need access to internal data sources and GIT repositories.

  • Multiple VP and one S-team goal within the waste and water programs are connected to the work that this Contractor needs to backfill.
