Sodexo is seeking an experienced Traveling Biomedical Equipment Specialist , specializing in Sterilizers to support healthcare facilities in the Boston/New Hampshire area. This role functions as a Subject Matter Expert in sterilizer systems, while also bringing advanced expertise in one or more high-end healthcare technology modalities. The specialist will serve as a technical leader within the region, operating independently with minimal supervision, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced clinical equipment inventories. This position requires strong planning, communication, and organizational skills. What You'll Do: Serve as a SME and modality expert for sterilizer systems, ensuring peak performance and adherence to manufacturer and regulatory standards. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sterilizers and other advanced clinical equipment across multiple facilities. Collaborate with facility leadership to develop maintenance strategies that support clinical and operational goals. Maintain accurate service documentation, records, and reports. What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience in managing, maintaining, and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment. Advanced technical proficiency in sterilizer systems to manufacturer standards. OEM training in Steris and/or Getinge equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and travel extensively throughout the assigned region. Excellent planning, organization, and communication abilities. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting Position Summary: Functions as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) and modality expert while possessing skill-set of advanced modality HTM (Healthcare Technology Management) expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology, real-time location systems, alarm management, middleware or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking, catheterization lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems in the areas of Specialty-Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc. Highest level of technical expertise. Operates under minimum supervision and has the ability to make independent decisions. Possess ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain an advanced clinical inventory, equipment and system. May have dotted line supervision of Biomedical Medical Equipment Technicians (BMET). Demonstrates the highest level of proficiency in one modality to the level of knowledge of the manufacture. Has ability to share knowledge regarding area of specialization across area or region. Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.
