JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Tuba City, AZ, 86045
 
Assignment Start Date: 11/18/2024
 
13 weeks | Varied | 12-hour shift | 36 hours guaranteed weekly
 The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed hours per week and includes available stipend amounts. Please get in touch with a recruiter for full details.   The hourly rate includes all associated costs including, but not limited to, travel, transportation, lodging, etc. No additional amounts will be paid to the Contractor for overtime, on-call, or hours worked during the weekends or on holidays. 
This position provides specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals following diagnosis and through all stages of treatment. The incumbent is responsible for providing Medical Oncology and other infusion treatments and education regarding these treatments to patients with cancer, ensuring continuity of evidence-based nursing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, assessing health, health-related and nursing needs of patients, their families, and other caregivers by identifying and initiating appropriate steps for effective care. The facility includes a 6 infusion bay.
 
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION  
 
Experience:  
 
 
Must have two (2) years of practice experience as a nurse in the acute care and/or ambulatory care setting including three (3) years of oncology nursing experience  
 
Must have hands-on experience in all routes of infusion therapy, including peripheral lines, PICCs, implanted ports, and other central venous access and different chemotherapy regimen
 
 
Education:
 
 
Must have an Associate's Degree
 
 
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration: 
 
 
Must have valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional  Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United States
 
Must maintain and have a current and valid BLS, and ACLS Certification by the American Heart Association.  
 
Must have ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Provider Card.
 
Must have Oncology Certified Nurse    certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).  
 
 
EMR System:  Allscripts experience preferred
 
Shift: Flexible to days/eve/nights & weekends
 
Contractor Policy: The contractor shall be responsible for compliance with all labor laws including but not limited to the Fair Labor Standards Act concerning payment of providers assigned to the Hospital.  The hourly rate includes all associated costs including, but not limited to, travel, transportation, lodging, etc. No additional amounts will be paid to the Contractor for overtime, on-call, or hours worked during the weekends or on holidays.
 
ORIENTATION: Every two (2) weeks only.
