JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Financial Reporting:
 Assist with Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 
General Ledger Maintenance:
 Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reviewing, posting, and adjusting entries as needed. 
Assist in preparing Monthly Financials & Month End Close process.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and highly organized while multi-tasking.
General Ledger and Bank Reconciliation:
 Conduct GL & bank reconciliations and reconcile other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
 Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and analyze variances between forecasted and actual results.
Audit Support:
 Assist in internal and external audits by gathering necessary documentation and addressing auditor requests.
Account Payables Analysis:
 Analyze account balances and transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Accounts Payable Processing
Enter vendor payables with 3-way match process
Identify and resolve Vendor discrepancies
Maintain Vendor account data
Process weekly check run
Accounts Receivable Analysis:
Post Cash Receipts
Post electronic and paper checks to customer accounts
Reconcile credit card transactions
Identify and resolve Customer discrepancies
Contact past due customers
Accounting Software Utilization:
 Use accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data. MAS 90/SAGE 100 – Crystal Reports helpful
Collaboration:
 Reports to CFO. Positions Has no reports. Work closely with other departments to provide insights into financial practices and support business objectives.  Flexible and adaptive to changing events.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a strong work ethic.
Provide administrative support for special projects.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Salary for an Experienced Staff Accountant in Chicago:
 The salary being offered for experienced Hands-on (5-10 years in accounting) for Senior Accountant position $80,000 to $90,000 per year
